Coutinho on the Bundesliga: 'Every ball is war!'

Philippe Coutinho feels the Bundesliga is similar to the Premier League when it comes to intensity.
Philippe Coutinho has spoken about his impressions of the Bundesliga after joining Bayern München from FC Barcelona on loan in the summer.

The former Liverpool player feels his new league is comparable to the Premier League in terms of style of play.

"I think that the Bundesliga is very similar to the Premier League in terms of the intensity of the games. The matches are always very even. Every team fights until the very end, for every single ball. Every ball is war. This makes the games very intense," the former Liverpool player told Bundesliga.com and added:

"There is not much space to think or to hesitate on the ball. Whereas in La Liga, teams tend to play more defensively against Barcelona. They gave us more space to play, but it was hard to break the defence down. These are the main differences that I have experienced."

Coutinho, 27, has played five games for Bayern this season with one goal and one assist to his name.
