Schalke coach David Wagner calls for patience with Ahmed Kutucu
Schalke 04 coach David Wagner says he won't put too much pressure on Ahmed Kutucu.
Ahmed Kutucu has been subbed on eight times for Schalke 04 this season, racking up a goal and an assist, but hasn't started a game since David Wagner was appointed coach in the summer.
Asked about how he sees the 19-year-old's role in the squad, Wagner told reporters:
"It would be wrong to put too much pressure on a 19-year-old. He is one of our best subs as he gets straight into the game. He still needs to learn about the defensive side of the game, which is normal for someone of his age."
Wagner's troops lock horns with Augsburg today at 18.00 CET.
