Report: Lewandowski still wants to leave

Robert Lewandowski reportedly still wants to push through a transfer this summer.
The Bayern München bosses have said numerous times that Robert Lewandowski is fully expected to stay at the club. However, the Polish international still wants to leave the club, Sky Sport Germany understands.

According to the report, Lewandowski's last hope is a personal conversation with coach Niko Kovac in which the striker will make it clear that he still wants to find a new club this summer.

However, it's doubtful that Lewandowski's approach can change the opinion of the Bayern bosses. Kovac himself has also said that he counts fully on the 29-year-old to stay.

"I talked to 'Lewa' on the phone and gave him my point of view. I look forward to working with him. He is a world-class striker who done a lot for Bayern and who will do a lot in the future. We expect him to stay in München," Kovac said at a press conference in the beginning of July.

Lewandowski's contract with Bayern München runs out in 2021.
