BVB coach Lucien Favre hails 'very important' victory over Gladbach

Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre was delighted to take three points from a difficult game at Borussia-Park.
Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre was pleased to see his team take an important 2-1 over Borussia Mönchengladbach at Borussia-Park on Saturday.

"It was a very difficult game, which is quite normal in Gladbach. They are very good, very dangerous and play very efficiently. But we controlled the game quite well. The first half wasn't great, but we were leading 1-0 at the break," Favre told reporters after the game.

"After we conceded the equaliser, we played very well. We played with speed going forward, put them under pressure, created goal chances and had a lot of possession. It was very important for our title chances to win here, and it was deserved in the end,"he added.

Favre and Dortmund climbed to second place with their win over Gladbach, one point behind regning Bundesliga champions Bayern München, who take on Augsburg on Sunday.
