FC Köln coach Markus Gisdol is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal until 2023 in the near future.
According to Sport Bild, negotiations between Gisdol and the club over a new deal are in the final phase.
Gisdol took over as Köln coach after the dismissal of Achim Beierlorzer in November, committing himself to the club until 2021.
Horst Heldt, who stepped in as sporting director at the same time, was recently rewarded with a new deal until 2023.
After a strong start under Gisdol, Köln failed to win any of their last 10 Bundesliga games and ended up 14th in the league.
