Bayern München announce departure of Ivan Perisic

Bayern München have said goodbye to Ivan Perisic, who will be heading back to his parent club, Inter.
Bayern München have announced that Ivan Perisic will be returning to Inter after spending last season on loan at Allianz Arena.

"Ivan has behaved very professionally over the past year and he was an important member of our team and played his part in winning the Bundesliga, the DFB Cup and the Champions League. We wish him all the best for the future," said Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic in a statement.

Hansi Flick, FC Bayern coach, commented:

"I'd like to thank Ivan for his performances and his contribution to winning the treble. We were very happy working with him. You could see Ivan's qualities, in particular at the Champions League finals tournament in Lisbon."

The German champions expressed interest in signing the 31-year-old permanently, but apparently they weren't able to reach an agreement with Inter.

Perisic scored eight goals and made 10 assists in 35 games for the Bavarians.
