Union Berlin coach Urs Fischer has revealed Sebastian Andersson wasn't in his squad for Saturday's 1-0 win over Karlsruher SC in the DFB-Pokal because the striker has asked for permission to leave the club.

"He has put in a transfer request. As a consequence, he wasn't in the squad," said Fischer after the final whistle.

According to Kicker, Andersson could be on his way to FC Köln as a replacement for Jhon Cordoba, who is said to be on the verge of a move to Hertha BSC.

Andersson, a Swedish international striker, scored 12 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season.
