Report: Sahin close to leaving Dortmund

Nuri Sahin is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund and join Werder Bremen.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin is expected to complete a move to Werder Bremen before the transfer window closes today, Sky understands.

Apparently, the deal is imminent, and the 29-year-old is expected to go complete his medical within the next few hours.

Sahin is not part of Borussia Dortmund coach Lucien Favre's plans at the Signal Iduna Park and leaves in search for playing time.

Meanwhile, Werder Breven have been looking for a new defensive midfielder during the summer and will get their man in Sahin.

Sahin left Dortmund to join Real Madrid in 2011, but returned on loan in 2013 before re-joining the BVB permanently in 2014.

Last season, he made 25 appearances for Dortmund with two goals and three assists to his name.
