Confirmed: Passlack re-ups with Dortmund for two more years

Borussia Dortmund confirmed rumors of a contract extension for fullback Felix Passlack on Thursday.
Twenty-two-year-old Felix Passlack's contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign. In accordance with reports surfacing earlier in the week, Dormund have signed the young talent to a new two-year-deal. This was made official on Thursday.

"We have been in talks for some time and are now pleased that we've brought them to a conclusion," club sporting director Michael Zorc said in released statement, "Felix is a child of the region and has close ties to the BVB."

Since Dortmund plucked him from the Rot-Weiß Oberhausen academy at the age of 14, Passlack has been loaned out a total of three times. After seeing some positive action early in this season, he faded from view and has not featured since November.

Zorc had been known to be somewhat non-comity all about the Passlack, but the club seems prepared to wager on his potential following some promising performances and his first goal in a Schwarzgelben tricot this season.
