One of Germany's capital city newspapers reports that Hertha BSC wish to reel Grujic back to the Bundesrepublik. After an extended loan deal, the mobile midfielder ended up spending two seasons in Germany's top flight. He enjoyed two successful campaigns, tallying nine times and registering three assists in 54 league appearances.
A long saga of speculation as to whether Grujic might move to Hertha permanently finally ended this past September when his return to Liverpool was confirmed. Further links with other Bundesliga clubs persisted right up until the October transfer deadline. Liverpool eventually loaned him out again to FC Porto.
The German and English print media sources remain far apart when it comes to a concrete transfer fee. The Berliner Zeitung speaks of a €13 million proposal whilst the Liverpool Echo claims that the club wants upwards of €23 million. The Echo also notes that FC Porto are the current front runners to sign the player.
