Report: Thuram and Tottenham in advanced talks

RMC Sport editor-in-chief Mohamed Bouhafsi claims that Borussia Mönchengladbach's Marcus Thuram is an advanced talks with Tottenham for a summer move.
Many departures from Borussia Mönchengladbach can be expected this summer after the foals failed to qualify for Europe. When it comes to what many consider to be sporting director Max Eberl's prize possession, any rumors concerning French international Marcus Thuram should be taken with a grain of salt.

RMC Sport editor-in-chief Mohamed Bouhafsi nevertheless cites his own sources close to the club to claim that Tottenham have made Thuram a priority and are in advanced negotiations to agree to terms.

It has already been confirmed that Thuram does not have an exit clause in his current contract, which runs until 2023. It can reasonably be assumed that the Westphalian Bundesliga club might seek at least €10 million over Thuram's present market value.

A transfer fee of €45-50 million could thus be possible. Gladbach could also stretch out negotiations past the Euros, waiting to see if an impactful performance for the French national team could drive the price up further.
