Union set to bring Baumgartl back to Germany

Timo Baumgartl is understood to be on the verge of a move to Union Berlin.

Union Berlin are set to sign PSV defender Timo Baumgartl on loan with an option to buy, according to Bild.

The Dutch side have confirmed that the former Stuttgart centre-back is in negotiations with another club.

PSV paid €10 million to sign Baumgartl from Stuttgart in 2019.

Union have already brought in two central defenders this summer in the shape of Paul Jaeckel and Rick van Drongelen.
