Karim Coulibaly has been strongly linked with a summer exit from Werder Bremen, with several European top clubs said to be interested.

Chelsea have been seen as the favourites to sign the 18-year-old centre-back so far, but it now appears Paris Saint-Germain have stepped up their interest in the defender.

According to Werder-focused outlet Deichstube, contact between the player’s representatives and PSG has intensified recently, with Coulibaly’s agent attending last Friday’s match at the Parc des Princes.

Sky Germany reported earlier this week that the young defender dreams of playing for PSG in the future.

Should PSG move to sign Coulibaly, a loan back to Werder next season could be a likely scenario, as the French champions are already well-stocked at the back.
