Albert Riera has strongly denied rumours of an alleged feud with Jonathan Burkardt, launching a furious rant in his press conference today.

According to the Frankfurt coach, there is "a lot of poison" surrounding the club, in so far as he feels the media is reporting on the Hessen club.

"I won't accept any lies. I'm not here as a puppet and I demand respect," Riera scathed before going on to praise Burkardt and the squad.

"I can promise that every player will give their all for the club and our shared goal until my last day. Everyone is 100 percent committed.

“Sometimes, when I put a player on the bench, I want to see a reaction from the player afterwards.

“Jonny, for example, showed a fantastic reaction and trained exceptionally well after the game. I make my decisions to win,” he added.
