Rocco Reitz has officially played his last game for Borussia Mönchengladbach ahead of his confirmed summer transfer to RB Leipzig.

As Gladbach coach Eugen Polanski confirmed on Thursday, Reitz will miss the club’s final match of the season against TSG Hoffenheim on Saturday.

“Rocco is unfortunately still ill and will not be fit to play,” Polanski revealed at a press conference.

This means last week’s 3-1 defeat to Augsburg will stand as Reitz’s final appearance in a Gladbach shirt.

The central midfielder made 103 appearances for Die Fohlen, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.
