Sky Sports report Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of signing Konstantinos Karetsas from Genk. The two clubs were in negotiations in the past weeks as there is now a verbal agreement in place over a deal worth €32 million.

According to Sky, the add-ons will be realistically achievable in the deal for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder. The Greece international will sign a contract until 2031 after completing his medical check.

Karetsas registered 11 assists in the Belgian Pro League last season, and he scored twice in their Europa League run before their defeat to SC Freiburg in the Round of 16. The former Belgium youth international scored three goals in ten appearances for the Greece national team.

BVB's sporting director Ole Book remains in Germany as the team traveled to Japan for pre-season. Book confirmed that the club are working on adding two attackers, with Köln's Said El Mala their second target.
