Sky Report: Stuttgart still negotiating to move Silas
Not included in Sebastian Hoeneß' match-day squad against Mainz over the weekend, it was rumored that VfB Stuttgart's Congolese winger "Silas" Katompa Mvumpa was on the verge of moving to RSC Anderlecht in Belgium. This transfer has apparently fallen through, but it might yet be the case that Silas is on his way out of the Baden-Württemberg capital.
Sky Germany's Patrick Berger reports that Stuttgart are in advanced talks to sell the 25-year-old to Red Star Belgrade. Berger notes that talks are at an advanced stage. The Serbian top club - who shall also be facing Stuttgart in the Champions' League - can still acquire players until September 13th, yet will still want to complete a deal soon as their UCL roster must be confirmed by tomorrow.
A move to Belgium could also remain in the cards. Anderlecht and other Pro League sides face a transfer deadline of September 6th. Again, however, the country's European sides (of which Anderlecht is one) will wish to get all of their deals done in time to register them for their European roster. For all his recent issues relating to playing time, Silas maintains an estimated market worth of €10 million.
