Stuttgart reportedly close to signing Atalanta striker

Multiple reports claim that VfB Stuttgart are on the verge of signing El Bilal Touré from Atalanta.

VfB Stuttgart are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Atalanta striker El Bilal Touré.

According to Fussballtransfers and Fabrizio Romano, the Swabian club have agreed a deal to sign the 22-year-old.

Both sources mention a possible fee of €18 million. According to Fussballtransfers, a loan deal with a purchase option of €18 million is on the table.

However, Bild reports that an agreement has not yet been reached, claiming that Stuttgart have had a loan offer of €2 million rejected as Atalanta are holding out for more than €5 million.

Last summer, Atalanta reportedly paid a whopping €30 million to sign Touré from Almeria, making him the most expensive signing in the club's history.

The 22-year-old missed the entire first half of the season with a serious thigh injury. He ended up scoring two goals in 11 appearances in his first season in Serie A.
