Toppmöller ahead of another Götze milestone match: "I expect him to score again."

Eintracht Frankfurt head-coach Dino Toppmöller noted that he harbored a special wish for one of his players ahead of a set of dual commemorations tomorrow.

The last time German footballing legend Mario Götze received a straightforward offensive deployment for his current team (on the right wing), the 32-year-old scored his lone league goal thus far this year in his 300th official Bundesliga appearance. The veteran 2014 World Cup winner usually works farther back in midfield at this stage of his career.

As Götze prepares to mark another milestone tomorrow night against Bremen, Eintracht Frankfurt trainer Dino Toppmöller noted that one of his most valued players might work higher up the pitch again. Götze will play his 100th match in an SGE jersey. Toppmöller revealed he had a special wish on what will be his 44th birthday.

"Tomorrow he will play for the 100th time for Eintracht and I expect him to score," Toppmöller remarked with a grin at his Friday presser, "but I expect a different result than the one we got in Berlin. Mario is an enormously valuable player; not only on the pitch, but also in the locker room. Because of his background, the boys look up to him. Mario is a great guy who, despite his great success, has remained down to earth.”
