FC Bayern started their pre-season friendlies with a 2-1 defeat to 3. Liga side Wehen Wiesbaden. Vincent Kompany fielded a team of full youngsters in the first-half before five senior players came on after the half-time break.
Ibrahim Ati Allah put Wiesbaden ahead in front of a full-capacity crowd at Brita-Arena. The Hesse club celebrated their 100th anniversary with Lukas Schleimer scoring the late winner after Sven Ulreich failed to clear his lines five minutes before time.
Tom Bischof scored Bayern’s goal from the spot after he won the penalty-kick himself around the hour mark. João Palhinha, Sacha Boey and Arijon Ibrahimovic were among the players to feature in the second-half in Bayern’s first test of the pre-season.
FC Bayern’s next game will be against amateur club Rottach-Egern on Thursday. Wehen Wiesbaden will face SC Preußen Münster in their opening game of the 3. Liga season.
