VfL Wolfsburg striker Dzenan Pejcinovic has made it clear internally that he would like to join VfB Stuttgart this summer, according to Kicker.

The German publication reports that the 21-year-old has attracted interest from several other clubs abroad and within the Bundesliga, but his clear preference is to make the move to Stuttgart.

Negotiations between the two clubs have recently stalled, but talks could resume given Pejcinovic’s strong desire to complete the transfer, although Wolfsburg would prefer to keep hold of the young forward.

The main obstacle remains the asking price, with Wolfsburg reportedly demanding a fee in the region of €25 million for the German U21 international.

Pejcinovic’s contract with Wolfsburg runs until 2029.
