Report: Xavi Simons sets transfer target for the summer of 2025
Over the summer, RB Leipzig convinced Xavi Simons to extend his loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain for another season, beating Bayern Munich in the race to land the Dutchman.
However, it doesn't look like Die Roten Bullen should get their hopes up about keeping Simons long-term.
Not only does he reportedly cost €80 million - more than Leipzig can afford - but it also seems that he's looking to play in a different league.
According to Sport Bild, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder is keen on a move to the English Premier League.
It's not for nothing that Simons is now working with agent Darren Dein, who has excellent connections in the Premier League.
Sport Bild doesn't mention a specific English club in relation to Simons.
Simons established himself as a key player for RB Leipzig last season, racking up eight goals and 13 assists in 32 Bundesliga games.
He has also emerged as a regular starter for the Netherlands under Ronald Koeman.
