Since RB Leipzig paid €50 million in January to make Xavi Simons’ loan move from Paris Saint-Germain permanent, the Dutchman has been expected to leave for a higher fee this summer.

Although Tottenham, Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Manchester United are all understood to have held talks with Simons, nothing concrete has happened so far, according to Bild, who reports that not a single club has made an official inquiry to Leipzig.

Die Roten Bullen are hoping to receive at least €70 million for the Dutchman but are increasingly fearing that selling him this summer may not be possible.

One factor, according to the German tabloid, is the lack of experience of Xavi’s brother Faustino, who recently began representing him.

The 22-year-old scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 25 Bundesliga games last season.
