Kaiserslautern will hope to climb up the table before the international break as they host Eintracht Braunschweig. Torsten Lieberknecht’s side suffered their first defeat of the campaign at Magdeburg last week.
Braunschweig recorded a 6-1 victory at Magdeburg in the opening matchday, but they lost four consecutive games in all competitions since the dream start. Lars Kornetka’s men showed signs of a comeback on matchday 5 with a 2-2 draw against Dynamo Dresden.
The Lions beat Kaiserslautern 2-0 in each of the last three encounters between the sides. Erencan Yardımcı, who scored the last goal in this fixture, is now playing for Kaiserslautern as he left Hoffenheim for the third time on loan.

Owen Gibs, Naatan Skyttä and Ivan Prtajin remain on the sidelines for the hosts. Maximilian Entrup scored his first Braunschweig goal inside the first five minutes against Dresden, but he’ll now miss this game after he was subbed off at half-time due to an injury.
