After coming on as a second-half substitute in Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal in the Champions League, Luis Díaz was forced off again towards the end of the match.

FC Bayern have now confirmed that medical examinations revealed a muscle fibre tear in the Colombia international’s left hamstring.

How long will Luis Diaz be out injured?

As a result of the injury, Díaz will be “sidelined for the foreseeable future”, the German champions announced.

According to Bild, the 29-year-old is expected to be out of action for between four and six weeks.

Consequently, Díaz is set to miss Bayern’s upcoming fixtures against Freiburg, Magdeburg, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Mainz, as well as Colombia’s international matches in November.

Meanwhile, he's a major doubt for Bayern’s games against 1. FC Köln, Lille and Hamburger SV following the international break.
