Bochum ready to name Letsch's replacement

According to multiple sources, Heiko Butscher will replace Thomas Letsch as Bochum coach.

On Monday, VfL Bochum decided to relieve Thomas Letsch of his duties as head coach after a series of disappointing results.

Now, according to both Bild and Sky Germany, the relegation-threatened Bundesliga side have found his replacement.

Current U19 coach Heiko Butscher will apparently take over on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.

Urs Fischer and Peter Stöger have both been linked with the job, but Bochum have been unable to reach an agreement with either of them.

With six games left to play in the Bundesliga this season, Bochum are 15th in the table, three points ahead of Mainz and four ahead of FC Köln. Darmstadt are isolated at the bottom.
