The German Football Association has announced a new contract for U21 coach Antonio Di Salvo.

The 45-year-old, who has been in charge since 2021, is now under contract until 2027.

"I am delighted that Toni Di Salvo will remain in charge of our U21 team beyond the European Championships this summer," said DFB sporting director Rudi Völler.

"Together with his coaching team, Toni has managed to turn a squad that changes every two years into a wonderful squad, and he has continuously pushed the development of individual players. Last but not least, the senior team has benefited from well-trained players who have made the leap from the U-21 team.

“Toni now faces a special challenge at the U-21 European Championship, which unfortunately takes place at the same time as the much-expanded Club World Cup, but we are all confident that he will master it successfully.”
