Musiala and Nagelsmann bemoan Wirtz's "stupid" yellow-card suspension

Florian Wirtz was shown a yellow card in the second half of Germany's 1-1 draw with Hungary on Tuesday, meaning he will be suspended for his side's UEFA Nations League quarter-final first leg in March.

Receiving the yellow card for a tactical foul in the 72nd minute, Wirtz was visibly annoyed - and he wasn't the only one.

"I screamed at him," teammate Jamal Musiala revealed in a post-match interview.

Asked what he shouted at Wirtz, Musiala replied with a smile: “Stupid!”

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann said he, too, was "a bit annoyed" by Wirtz's yellow card.

"But it is what it is. We'll get another good player on the pitch," he continued.
