Michael Zetterer's performances for Werder Bremen appear to have put him on the radar of the German Football Association.

Speaking to Sport1, the 29-year-old revealed that he has held talks with Germany goalkeeping coach Andreas Kronenberg.

"Yes, there has been contact. We had a very long conversation and talked about all sorts of things. I don't want to go into details, but it was a good conversation," Zetterer said.

Making it into the German national team is the "dream of every young footballer", added Zetterer, who fought his way into the starting line-up at Werder Bremen last season.

With Marc-André ter Stegen sidelined by injury, Hoffenheim's Oliver Baumann, Stuttgart's Alexander Nübel and Manchester City's Stefan Ortega formed Germany's goalkeeping trio this month.
