After last Thursday’s 2-1 first-leg win over Ajax, head coach Dino Toppmoller attended Eintracht Frankfurt’s press conference ahead of the return leg tomorrow.

The 44-year-old boss is keen for his side to kick on against their opponents from the Netherlands at the Deutsche-Bank Park.

“I expect us to build on our performance in the first-leg and be just as focused and concentrated as we were in Amsterdam.

“We’re only thinking about tomorrow’s game against Ajax and not one step ahead.

“We’re in the tunnel, with only this challenge in mind and we want to secure a place at home with our amazing fans and reach the quarter-finals,” he added.

After expressing how “extremely bitter” last weekend’s defeat to Union Berlin was, Toppmoller stated this is a chance to bounce back and provided a personnel update.

“Things are looking very good for Robin Koch; he’s given the green light. For Arthur Theate, we’ll have to wait for the final test tomorrow.

“Michy Batshuayi is in good shape … he fits in seamlessly here. Elye Wahi isn’t playing quite as freely as we had hoped.

“It’s important that we give him space while still engaging with him and providing the support he needs,” Toppmoller explained.

Die Adler take on Ajax at 6.45pm (CET) on Thursday with a 2-1 aggregate advantage from the first leg at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
