With 10 goals and 11 assists in 17 games for Celtic in all competitions this season, former Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig winger Nicolas Kühn has caught the eye.
Like most footballers, Kühn dreams of representing his country, and playing for Germany at the World Cup in 2026 is currently one of the 24-year-old's main goals.
So far, however, Kühn hasn't had any contact with Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.
"Not yet, unfortunately. Every boy who plays football dreams of one day playing for the national team. I've often said that the German national team is my dream goal," Kühn told Sport Bild.
"Even during the relegation battle with Erzgebirge Aue, I swore to myself that I would play in the Champions League one day - and it worked out. I'm showing on this stage that I can keep up. And I want to prove it that with the German national team too one day.
“I know I have the quality to play for the national team and I make no secret of the fact that my dream is to play at the 2026 World Cup in the United States. But there's no other way than to continue to work hard, score goals and provide assists. The rest will take care of itself.”
Kühn has represented Germany at all youth levels except under-21.
