Germany drew 1-1 to Hungary with both goals coming in the second half from first-time starter Felix Nmecha for Germany and Dominik Szoboszlai with a penalty for Hungary.

Before the game, Julian Nagelsmann had opted for nine changes from the eleven which played on Saturday against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Most notably, he rested attacking duo Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala with both coming on in the second half.

After the game, Robert Andrich spoke to ZDF and said: “Massive praise to him (Felix Nmecha) for the goal. If we see the game through (over time) then he would've had the winning goal.”

On the penalty issue, he said: “There we have the handball problem once again. Where should he go with his hand?”

He added: “He gets the hand hit from one meter away. When you look at it (on the monitor) then you always give it.”

The scorer of Germany's goal Felix Nmecha also spoke to ZDF and said: “Obviously, you always dream of these goals and these games. To play for Germany is an enormous deal.”
