Bundesliga Team of the Week: Matchday 5

Here's our Bundesliga Team of the Week for Matchday 5.

 

Goalkeeper: Peter Gulacsi, RB Leipzig
Kept a clean sheet, saved a penalty and completed 86% of his passes.

Centre-back: Nico Elvedi, Gladbach
Put in a solid performance at the back to help Gladbach keep a clean sheet. Won four duels and completed 90 percent of his passes.

Centre-back: Eric Smith, St. Pauli
Helped St. Pauli to a clean sheet, winning 100% of his tackles and completing 85 percent of his passes. Also came close to scoring with a direct free-kick.

Centre-back: Minjae Kim, Bayern Munich
So strong at the back for Bayern. Completed 92 percent of his passes and won seven duels, preventing Leverkusen from creating much of anything.

Winger: Elias Saad, St. Pauli
The winger was arguably St. Pauli's most outstanding player in their shock 3-0 win over Freiburg, scoring twice.

Central midfielder: Jens Stage, Werder Bremen
Helped Werder to a sensational comeback, scoring a remarkable hat-trick to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 4-3 win against Hoffenheim.

Central midfielder: Jan Schöppner, Heidenheim
Worked tirelessly in midfield and won 10 duels for Heidenheim. Also scored one of their goals.

Winger: Xavi Simons, RB Leipzig
After a couple of disappointing performances, the Dutchman was back to his best against Augsburg, scoring and assisting in Leipzig's 4-0 win.

Striker: Serhou Guirassy, Borussia Dortmund
Led Dortmund's comeback against Bochum, scoring a brace in his team's 4-2 win.

Striker: Benjamin Sesko, RB Leipzig
Scored two quick goals to give Leipzig the perfect start against Augsburg.

Striker: Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt
One of the Bundesliga's most in-form players, Marmoush was involved in all four of Frankfurt's goals against Holstein Kiel, scoring twice and assisting twice.
