After it was announced that Jeremie Frimpong has a release clause this morning, the Dutchman is now a top target for Liverpool this summer.

Fabrizio Romano and other journalists including Ben Jacobs from GiveMeSport believe the buyout fee is in the region of €35-40million.

With his release clause seen as being below market value, Liverpool like his profile as he can play as a wing-back and further up the field too.

Several clubs across Europe are showing an interest in Frimpong and there is also interest from Saudi Arabia emerging too.

As a result, it is believed that Frimpong's departure is almost inevitable once the current Bundesliga campaign ends.
