As Matchday 33 rolls into view, TSG Hoffenheim head coach Christian Ilzer sat down to discuss Friday's fixture with VfL Wolfsburg.

"We've picked up far too few points in recent weeks. That's why this season has remained difficult from start to finish.

"It's not necessary to talk about performances that were quite good at times; at the end of the day, we haven't achieved enough good results.

“It's not about simply hoping what the teams behind us do. We're taking care of ourselves and focusing on our games,” he added.

The Austrian went on to give a rather short personnel update and noted the danger that Wolfsburg possess.

"We have one or two injured players. It looks quite good that Oliver Baumann will be able to play in goal again.

“Wolfsburg will be focused and well-prepared. They have a high level of individual quality. We have to be wary of that,” Ilzer said.
