With European football on the line, Mainz travel to VfL Bochum this weekend as head coach Bo Henriksen sat down to discuss the upcoming game in detail.

The Dane highlighted what an incredible season it has been, their desire to finish strongly and U-19 player Dahl's untimely cruciate ligament injury.

"We've already written an incredible story this season. We've broken many club records, played very well, and can be proud of what we've achieved.

Now we want to reward ourselves in the final games. It will be difficult, but we have a chance. We believe in ourselves and will give it our all.

“Maxim Dal's injury is obviously a disaster; he'll be missing for a while. We wish him all the best for his recovery,” he added.

Henriksen continued by signing the praises of seasoned Swiss wing-back Silvan Widmer before issuing a squad availability update.

“Silvan played a very good game against Frankfurt. Performing like that after a difficult period is very important and shows that he's an absolute captain and team player.”

“We'll test Danny da Costa, Maxim Leitsch, and Robin Zentner on Friday to see if he's good enough for Bochum,” Henriksen said.
