The rumored transfer of VfL Wolfsburg keeper Koen Casteels to Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah Football Club is through. The 31-year-old Belgian national team keeper - who will feature as the #1 for De Rode Duivels in the coming European Championship - moves to the Arabian Peninsula on a free transfer after his expiring contract with Germany's green company team was not renewed.

Casteels is the second Bundesliga player to move to the recently promoted Saudi outfit in the last 12 months. FSV Mainz 05 defender Alexander Hack - a Bundesliga veteran just like Casteels - made the switch last August. In 12 seasons spent playing for Hoffenheim, Werder, and Wolfsburg, Casteels amassed an impressive e total of 283 Bundesliga appearances in German football.
