Three of Borussia Dortmund's top earners are out of contract in the summer of 2026, with Niklas Süle, Emre Can and Julian Brandt all in the final year of their deals.

It remains uncertain whether the experienced trio will be offered new contracts, as sporting director Sebastian Kehl explained in an interview with WAZ.

“Next summer we will indeed have some expiring contracts, and this season we will carefully consider: which players do we want to continue with, and which will we part ways with?" he told the local outlet.

“These are decisions that are completely normal in football and are planned, especially in line with contract durations. This not only carries risk, but also presents an opportunity,” added Kehl.

Pascal Gross, Salih Özcan, Julien Duranville and Alexander Meyer are also out of contract at the end of the season.
