Gladbach and Polanski could part ways before Bundesliga season ends

The Polish gaffer is reportedly tipped to stay on until the end of the current campaign, but any dip in form could spell the end for the 40-year-old.

A split between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eugen Polanski before the end of the season is not out of the question.

According to Sky Germany, however, this outcome is still considered the worst-case scenario by those in charge.

Ideally, Gladbach's bosses want to secure survival in the Bundesliga with Polanski and then arey out an analysis of the season.

Nonetheless, Sky journalist Marlon Irlbacher understands that it is unlikely this arrangement will continue beyond the summer.

It goes without saying that Polanski has come under pressure and scrutiny in recent weeks, coinciding with Gladbach's poor form.

Since taking over the reins in mid-November, the 40-year-old has only managed 5 wins, 7 draws and 9 defeats in 21 Bundesliga games.

Saturday's fixture away to VfL Wolfsburg could prove pivotal, with Gladbach seven points clear of the relegation-threatened Lower Saxony side.
