Heidenheim look forward to visit from Chelsea after Conference League draw

Small-town German footballing sensations 1. FC Heidenheim have learned that, among other things, their historic 2024/25 European journey will include a visit from EPL giants Chelsea FC.

One day after officially qualifying for the 2024/25 UEFA Europa Conference League in sensational fashion, small-town German footballing sensations 1. FC Heidenheim have learned their opponents in the upcoming competition. Following the UEFA Champions' League draw yesterday and this afternoon's Europa league draw, UEFA completed the draw for their third-tier continental club footballing competition late Friday afternoon.

At Friday's draw in Monaco, a computer randomly selected three home and three away opponents for each team, although the order of the matches has not yet been determined. UEFA will reveal further details tomorrow. For now, the East Albogen club at least know that they can expect a visit from London giants Chelsea FC.

The Conference League group phase will be played between October 3rd and December 19th and, unlike the Champions League and Europa League, will therefore be completed before the turn of the year. Matches are generally played on Thursdays at 4.30 pm, 6.45 pm and 9 pm, with the games on the final sixth matchday all kicking off at 9 pm.

The six opponents of 1. FC Heidenheim:
