After returning from the horror fibula fracture he suffered last summer, Jamal Musiala encountered a setback earlier this month and is once again working his way back to full match fitness.

There are now encouraging signs for the attacking midfielder, with Bild reporting he has returned to the training pitch for the first time since the setback he sustained in Bayern’s 6-1 win over Atalanta just over two weeks ago.

Musiala completed a session of just under 30 minutes, running laps before moving on to coordination exercises – some of them already involving the ball.

It remains unclear when the German international will be ready to return to competitive action, but a recent report suggested he's hoping to be involved in FC Bayern's Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash with Real Madrid on April 7.
