Kicker Report: Barkok's automatic purchase clause nears activation

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that Mainz 05's Aymen Barkok is nearing the automatic purchase trigger built into his loan contract with Hertha BSC.

The reported upon purchase clause in Mainz 05 attacker Aymen Barkok's loan deal with Hertha BSC is apparently close to being triggered. Germany's Kicker Magazine claims that the transfer fee is less than half of what was initially reported. The 25-year-old Moroccan international will, per Kicker, move to Charlottenburg for €600,000. A €1.2 million fee in the (possible, yet unlikely) event that Hertha achieve promotion back to the top flight.

Kicker reports that two more league starts shall prove sufficient to trigger Barkok's permanent transfer. Barkok has already garnered ten starts (nine in the league and one in the domestic cup) for Pal Dardai's "alte Dame". Hertha are currently eight points below promotion/relegation playoff place holders Fortuna Düsseldorf with five 2. Bundesliga match days remaining.
