Anthony Jung will leave Werder Bremen at the end of the season, according to Bild.

The German tabloid reports that the 33-year-old defender's expiring contract will not be renewed.

Capable of playing as a central defender or as a left-back, Jung has been a regular starter this season, featuring 28 times.

Jung joined Werder on a free transfer from Danish side Brøndby IF in 2021 and has since made 126 appearances for the German club.

He will not be the only centre-back to leave at the end of the season, as Werder have confirmed that Milos Veljkovic will depart the club to join Red Star Belgrade on a free transfer.
