Leipzig ruing collapsed Asllani deal as focus switches to player sales

As Sky Germany reported this morning, Fisnik Asllani was deemed a market opportunity for RB Leipzig that won't come around too often.
In terms of his price, performance, profile and potential; the Saxony-based outfit are feeling the sting after his transfer suddenly collapsed.
Leipzig would have brought in Asllani for €25million despite the overcrowded squad as he was their dream solution in attack.
However, they felt forced to let the deal fall through due to medical concerns and red flags regarding the Kosovan international.
On a more positive note, the pay-TV channel underlines the club has depth in both the attacking midfield and striker departments.
Now focus fully remains on departures, from which around 6-8 players should still leave and is currently proving complicated to achieve.
On the incoming side, it stays the same – even with the Diomandé millions, the club will be adhering to strict internal guidelines.
Leipzig won't pay base fees for any player beyond €50million mark as they continue to operate under their planned model.
