According to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, the personnel situation at Bayer Leverkusen is better than before the break, but not perfect.
Summer signing Guéla Doué is missing with a calf injury, which the player himself confirmed it will rule him out of the Mainz game.
A return to team training for the Côte d'Ivoire international is expected at the earliest next week according to the report.
Expected to line out in the right-back position this Saturday, Jarell Quansah is currently the regular starter in Doué's absence.
Elsewhere, Nathan Tella and Montrell Culbreath, who were recently missing due to injury, are working their way back to fitness.
Culbreath will still train individually this week and join team training next week. Tella returned in the test match against Fortuna Köln.
