VfL Wolfsburg's Ridle Baku has shared his thoughts on his side's hard-fought 2-1 victory over RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Baku's early opener was cancelled out by Maximilian Wöber before Lukas Nmecha sealed the win for 'Die Wölfe'.

Assessing the game after the final whistle, Baku told UEFA.com:

"To play against Salzburg isn't nice

"We didn't have much time, and they play intense. But we executed our game plan and that's why we've won. Tonight came down to our undeniable will to win.

"To be able to perform on the biggest stage and score a goal is of course a great feeling. I want to keep showing what I’m capable of. To get such an important win makes it even better."
