Dortmund boss provides fresh update on Brandt

Borussia Dortmund boss Sebastian Kehl has given a fresh update on Julian Brandt after the midfielder was forced off with a head injury against Bayern.
Borussia Dortmund head of first team football Sebastian Kehl says Julian Brandt is "doing much better" after his horrific head collission with Dayot Upamecano during yesterday's 2-3 defeat to Bayern München.

Dortmund already allayed fears of a serious injury shortly after the game, and Kehl has now given a fresh update on the midfielder's condition.

"He suffered a concussion, but otherwise everything is fine and he's doing much better after a night in hospital," said Kehl, according to Kicker.

Despite doing better, Brandt will definitely miss Dortmund's upcoming Champions League clash with Besiktas on Tuesday, per Kicker.
