Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose plans to rest some of his players for tomorrow's Champions League clash with Besiktas.

Dortmund will finish third in Group C whatever the outcome of Tuesday's game at Signal Iduna Park.

With that taken into consideration, Erling Haaland, Emre Can, Mahmoud Dahoud and Raphael Guerreiro are unlikely to play 90 minutes after only recently returning from injuries.

"It is clear that we cannot have Erling Haaland in the game for long. The same applies to Emre Can, 'Mo' Dahoud, and 'Rapha' Guerreiro, after their injury breaks. On Saturday we have another important Bundesliga game," Rose told reporters.

Julian Brandt will certainly miss the game after sustaining a head injury in Saturday's 2-3 defeat to Bayern München.

"Jule Brandt is generally fine, I spoke to him on the phone," said Rose.

"There are a few more examinations to be carried out so that we can be sure of the injury. Tomorrow he will definitely not play. We'll have to wait and see about Saturday."

Dortmund face VfL Bochum, Greuther Fürth and Hertha BSC in their remaining three Bundesliga games before the winter break.
