In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 12.
As a rule of thumb, we’ll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
Leopold Querfeld, Union Berlin (Defender, 5.45M, 4%)
Many Fantasy Bundesliga managers will likely look to bring in Danilho Doekhi for Union Berlin’s home match against Heidenheim if they don’t already have him. However, a strong alternative is his significantly cheaper teammate Leopold Querfeld, who has delivered two 200+ scores in his last three outings and has already scored twice this season, both goals coming in the DFB-Pokal.
Vladimir Coufal, Hoffenheim (Defender, 8.05M, 14%)
The Czech veteran has been a major asset for Hoffenheim since arriving last summer, producing one goal and four assists in 11 Bundesliga appearances so far. Impressively, Coufal hasn’t dropped below 157 points in any match since Matchday 3. He now has a home fixture against an Augsburg side that hasn’t won on the road since the opening matchday.
Maximilian Mittelstädt, Stuttgart (Defender, 19.27M, 9%)
Few would dispute that Mittelstädt is one of the top defensive picks in Bundesliga Fantasy – and his premium price reflects that. Following Stuttgart’s 4-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles, they now travel to Hamburg for a match they’ll expect to control and win. With a goal involvement in each of his last two Bundesliga games, Mittelstädt is well-positioned for another strong return. He’s also on penalties, which further boosts his appeal.
Johan Manzambi, Freiburg (Defender, 6.05M, 3%)
Available for just around 6 million, Manzambi stands out as one of the best budget midfield options this week. Able to pick up points through both defensive and attacking contributions, the young midfielder has been a reliable option in Bundesliga Fantasy for some time now, averaging 177 points across his last five matches. His next two fixtures are against Mainz and Heidenheim, who are both struggling.
Romano Schmid, Werder Bremen (Midfielder, 13.48M, 4%)
Schmid is coming off two strong returns and notably racked up 246 points against RB Leipzig last week, even though Werder fell 2-0. With the Green-Whites set to face Köln and Hamburger SV in their next two games, now seems like a good time to bring him in.
Bilal El Khannouss, Stuttgart (Midfielder, 13.72M, 11%)
Having scored over 200 points in five of his last six games, El Khannouss will now be unleashed against a Hamburger SV side that haven't won in the league in their last five matches.
Andrej Ilic, Union Berlin (Striker, 4.98M, 0%)
After regularly finding the net last season, Ilic has surprisingly scored just once in 12 games across all competitions this term. He’s still been heavily involved in goals, though, with seven assists to his name. While his Fantasy numbers may not impress, this week’s home clash against a struggling Heidenheim could provide the perfect chance for him to get back on the scoresheet and deliver a decent return.
Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim (Striker, 12.44M, 2%)
Kramaric has been inconsistent Fantasy wise this season, managing two returns around the 300-mark but little else. This week’s home clash against an Augsburg side that has shown significant defensive frailties earlier in the season presents a strong opportunity for him to haul again.
Deniz Undav, Stuttgart (Striker, 14.64M, 5%)
With six goals and two assists in his last four competitive appearances, Undav is in red-hot form as Stuttgart prepare for a favorable clash against HSV.
Luis Diaz, FC Bayern (Striker, 22.94M, 22%)
Amid a hectic schedule and following their challenging midweek clash against Arsenal in the Champions League, Bayern are expected to rotate for this week’s home game against struggling St. Pauli. Diaz appears to be the only attacking player guaranteed to start, as he was suspended in midweek, and that makes him a very appealing Fantasy option.
