Over the weekend, Bild reported that Borussia Dortmund and Germany star Karim Adeyemi has received a penal order and been fined a total of €450,000 for possession of illegal weapons reportedly a brass knuckle and an electric taser.

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann was asked about the case on Sunday and said that while he and Germany sporting director Rudi Völler have spoken with Adeyemi, Monday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Slovakia is the immediate focus.

“Rudi and I have spoken with him,” Nagelsmann said, adding:

“But this is a matter that takes up a lot of space and time. We have an important game tomorrow. That’s why we will deal with this issue after the game.”

Adeyemi is expected to be part of the squad for the match. A draw will be enough for Germany to secure a place at the 2026 World Cup.
